Got the matte screen for the body, it's like invisible protection with extra grip, it's the best body protection from scratches, just beware that it won't protect the corner or edges.

For the surface I got the glossy protection, it's very good for touch but not for pen, the pen will no longer be smooth when using it, and leave a lot of mark on the screen protector.

It is not easy to apply the skin to the back panel, secondly the length is slightly too long... it is also difficult to apply on the side...

Applying the skins took me some time, but I managed to fit them in the end. At first I was a bit disappointed because it looked like there was dirt underneath the film. Also some of the larger bubbles were difficult to squeegee out, if at all possible. I withstood the urge to peel the film off and start over again and I am glad I did. After 24 to 48 hours the dirt disappeared as the film adhered to the screen, apparently it was the water with soap. It took an additional 48 hours for all the larger bubbles to have completely gone away. So I am very happy with the end result.

I'm not sure I'd go with the matte screen protector for the screen again. You should definitely buy that one for the body. But the screen protector is actually causing the beautiful Surface Pro 3 screen to appear grainy (you can see RGB pixels) and a lot of sharpness (detail) is lost. So, if I had to order again, I'd go for the glossy screen protector and the matte body.

But you should definitely buy the protectors from these guys. The material is ten times better than screen protectors from ebay and Chinese sites. On top of that BestSkinsEver is a lot cheeper than their direct competitor. (Posted on 1/10/15)

I have been wary of placing my Surface flat on a table to write on it with fear of scratching the aluminum back, until now!

The only thing I dislike about these films is that they MUST be wet in order to apply them. It was difficult to squeegee the water out when there are vents all around the edge of the Surface where water could drip in. Almost all bubbles have disappeared in 24 hours.

The skins apply best with more water to allow the air bubbles to slide to the edge. The finished look and feel is excellent! (Posted on 11/16/14)

Only got screen protector. Very high quality. Perfect for perfectionists. No bubbles. Matte finish has great feel for both touch and pen. The matte was a bit grainier than hoped (hence 4 of 5 stars), but the serious reduction of glare is worthwhile tradeoff for me. This is a great product at a great price.
Install was easy since I have experience with these type of skins.
No bubbles and so far no peeling at the edges.
I can barely tell that the skin is on.
The matte version looks great if you don't like glossy surfaces.

The side pieces were too long but apparently it stretched while I was taking it out of the paper holder. Should have been more careful.

Thankfully I contacted them and they sent me a replacement easily.

Excellent film quality as before. I already brought this for Surface Pro 1, just love it. I brought this for Surface Pro 3. A little disappointed that they don't cover the side too.
