I have used other skins in the past and this skin surpasses in fit and finish as well as quality of application. I thought the soapy water a bit weird (and I worried about the bubbles produced) but there were no problems. The key is keeping fingers wet and smoothing the spray over the skin. A trial dry fit before removing the backing helps so you know the top-to-bottom orientation well, of course removing the cutouts that are easy to do. Great on line video directions. I received my rose gold 9.7 Pro iPad about a week ago and also purchased the keyboard cover to go with it. I prefer to keep my electronics as slim as possible. So I was out on the search to find either a super slim clear back cover or a nice clear or matte skin.Price Value Quality
I have tried BestSkinsEver before for my phone and the fit and quality of the skin was awesome. However, when finished it still looked cloudy and not as clear as I had hoped.
This time around I ordered 2 of the skins from BestSkinsEver to have a spare if the 1st one messed up. And that's exactly what happened that first one was done when I really didn't have enough time to spend on it and I ended up removing it. Yesterday, I planned 45 minutes to just patiently tackle the install. I proceeded to get it all aligned nicely, squeegeed out the water and larger bubbles and then waited for the sides to dry up a bit and kept pushing them down over and over again until the heat from my fingers kept them adhered. This time around, I did what the instructions said to do - I kept the iPad off and didn't use it until like 20 hours later. That worked perfectly - all the discoloration and cloudiness that was showing underneath is totally gone. Really looks super. You would have to pick it up and inspect the edges to even tell there is anything on it.
I highly recommend this skin. The alignment is perfect and it's really easy to install if you follow the directions exactly. Don't be disappointed if you find some cloudiness and discoloration at first. Be patient and keep the iPad off for a full day and you'll be happy with the results.
