I purchased this after purchasing the cover for the iPhone 5S. It works just as well and gives great coverage. It is a little harder to get on then the iPhone and I did have a few problems but Best Skins just sent me a new one and offered more support to get it on perfectly. I was relectant to use a wet application skin but after reading and watching many YouTube vids I decided to go with this product. The quality is fantastic. I truly forget that there is a skin on my iPad. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND APPLYING IT IN A VERY STEAMY BATHROOM. I have one dust spec despite using this technique and I think the end result would have been much less satisfying had I done it without trying to get rid of dust in the air. I used the glossy skin for the screen and the matte for the back and am very pleased. The back was trickey to apply only because of the corner pieces but I did manage to get a good result by waiting 20-30 min for the solution to evaporate and had no problem. I see many people have cut them off before applying the skin but they are a really nice finish if you have the patience. My one gripe is that you don't have 5 minutes to reposition the skin once you apply it...you have 1 minute at best so be quick about getting the placement correct ASAP. Bought for my wifes new iPad Mini. Fits perfectly. A little hard to put on, but no worse than other skins. Bubbles disappeared in 2 days and just what she wanted. Personally, I prefer skins which require a wet solution for application because it allows you to adjust the film if the placement isn't perfect and forms a superior bond to the device without leaving residue after removal.

I got the glossy screen protector with the matte back protector for my iPad mini, as I did for my Galaxy S3 phone before. I feel that this is the best combination of protectors for devices - the glossy is basically invisible and feels a lot like the phone doesn't even have a protector over the screen. Meanwhile, the matte gives the back a nicer feel (and arguably more refined look) to the back.Price Value Quality
Application is the same as always - spray the protectors with a mix of water with a bit of dish soap in them, and then work out the liquid and air bubbles with a squeegee.
I find that the cure times for the screen protector to settle in and for the bubbles to go away is longer on tablets than phones - it takes a week or more for all of the bubbles to go away. Once they do go away though, it looks amazing.
Also, I can never apply the back protector to curved surfaces properly -- the bendy tabs for the corners don't stick perfectly for me. I've started cutting them off before installation; it's too hard to get all 4 corners to stick perfectly to the back of a rounded surface like the back of an iPad air. On a flat or very lightly curved surface (like the front of any touchscreen), the protector sticks perfectly.

It definitely lives up to its name. I had one of BSE's skins before, on my iPad 3, and I really liked it. Nice, rubbery feel, perfect cut outs, a really nice skin overall.Price Value Quality
This matte version however improves the experience in a huge way. The iPad's back is not shiny anymore like with the glossy version. It didn't look bad at all, but you could easily notice the skin was there. This one just disappears, it is the closest thing to having nothing on the iPad. It adds grip to it too, but without sacrificing too much the feel of the aluminum (I found the glossy version added even more grip, but the feel was a lot more plastic-like).
I would definitely recommend getting the matte version for an iPad. The other one might make sense with other products though. (Posted on 12/6/13)
